Visiting the city during autumn, I was initially struck by the oil painting of vibrant reds, oranges, rich browns and leafy greens. While wandering through either the glass world of the downtown high rise buildings, or the tranquillity of the outer suburbs, there was a hit of fresh air and colour everywhere. It was clear that despite its skyscrapers and its size, its industries and expressways, Montreal remains warm and welcoming. It is a land prosperous in beauty and contrast that I dream of retuning to in the near future.
